Writing Science Fiction

a course for aspiring writers

Jeffrey Carver, an old SF writing friend from many years back, has asked for the word to be spread that a course he created a few years ago called "Writing Science Fiction and Fantasy," intended primarily for young adult aspiring writers, is now available online at www.writesf.com, and it's free.

Jeff describes it as "[covering] most of the fundamentals: getting from idea to story; world-building; creating believable characters; aliens; plot and conflict; style; finishing what you start; workshopping; and so on. A friendly entry into this territory for writers who maybe aren't ready yet for the in-depth coverage of some of the excellent how-to handbooks."

As they say, if you don't buy a ticket, you don't get a prize. Good luck.
