Dyslexia Reading Help

A project to make reading easier

A reader by the name of Neil Burdick has been working with dyslexic college students on a project aimed at finding ways to make reading easier for people with that condition. One of the things they are looking into is the design of more dyslexic-legible typefaces, which it is hoped will lead to browser and word processor applications customizable for people with variations in perception. As a test-bed for some of the techniques being developed, they have used a some text samples from a chapter of Voyage from Yesteryear. Those curious about such things can see the results at www.burdickgallery.com/lexia.htm.
